Species Interactions
Predator: Red foxes, coyotes, domestic dogs, bobcats and large raptors
Prey: mice, kangaroo rats, squirrels and rabbits. Ground-nesting birds. Insects, lizards, snakes, fish
Competitors: Some kit foxes would live in the same habitat. They would compete with each other in mates, resources, etc.
Herbivores: tomatoes, cactus fruit, grasses
Parasites: Parasitic mites cause skin disease. This can cause the loss of fur and lead to death of hypothermia.
